The World University Games brings together the most diversely talented team of student-athletes on the planet. More than 7,500 university athletes representing over 100 countries will compete in 18 sports with a shared goal – many teams, one dream!
But, organizing one of the world’s largest international competitions in one of the fastest growing areas in the United States—the Triangle and Triad of North Carolina—comes with considerable expense for the organizing committee, host locations on regional university campuses and other venues, and for the student-athletes themselves.
